Do you struggle to put all your fresh, locally grown veggies to good use? Do you have any garden space you purposefully leave fallow because you don’t want to grow more than you can use or give away? Project Angel Heart has a solution: donate your excess veggies—or even grow an extra row for us!
- We’re especially interested in receiving donations of chard, tomatoes, zucchini, and yellow squash.
- We can accept other produce as well, with the exception of lettuce and cucumbers.
- Bring produce donations by our kitchen (at 4950 Washington St) on Mondays (8 a.m.—1 p.m.) or Saturdays (9 a.m.—1 p.m.—and please enter the building through the north (volunteer/staff) entrance).
- If transportation is a problem, give us a call and we will try to arrange for another volunteer to pick them up from you.
- Consider volunteering to make produce pick-ups and/or assist with cleaning and chopping the veggies. Shifts will be available Monday afternoons and evenings.
