In originally envisioning our newly-launched Web site, the goal was to capture the essence of Project Angel Heart in a medium that could transfer to the comfort of your own home or office. We’ve done our best to achieve that by bringing you the latest Project Angel Heart news, volunteer opportunities, client stories, and upcoming event details on our new Web site.

However, we realize that it is impossible to truly capture the essence of Project Angel Heart in this format. So, let these few clicks be the beginning of – or just one step toward – a stronger connection to Project Angel Heart. If you haven’t already visited our kitchen, please do! For nothing can convey the quality and value of our nutritious, home-delivered meals more than smelling our Ethiopian curry as you walk through the kitchen, seeing the dozens of smiling volunteer faces hard at work, or delivering meals to someone who may be experiencing the most difficult time of his or her life.

I hope that you have pride in your support of Project Angel Heart. Whether you volunteer or support the organization financially, this is your organization – funded by the community and staffed in large part by local volunteers. It is the community’s support that puts the ‘heart’ in our meals and keeps us efficient; in fact, $.92 of every dollar donated to our operating budget goes directly to home-delivered meals.

For the clients who receive our meals, Project Angel Heart turns food into medicine. I welcome you into the Project Angel Heart community and thank you for whatever role you may play in making this essential service possible.
