Celebrate Taco Tuesday with Project Angel Heart – cooking, learning, and raising funds for Coloradans facing life-threatening health conditions. Join us for a live, virtual cooking lesson with Project Angel Heart’s executive chef, Brett Newman, and Seattle Fish’s CEO and president, Derek Figueroa. As we cook tacos—a Colorado favorite!—together, they’ll share trade secrets and answer frequently asked home chef questions that will help you take your Taco Tuesday to new levels. Owen Ryan, our president and CEO, will also share how medically tailored meals save lives and reduce health care costs.
Get a head-start on this meal by purchasing a $100 Taco Starter Kit containing Chef Brett’s fish taco recipe, seasoning mixes, and a few additional house-made ingredients, plus a shopping list for the remaining, fresh food items you’ll need. We’ll also include some exclusive Project Angel Heart-branded gifts unavailable elsewhere.
Want to join but don’t need the kit? No problem… a $50 virtual event-only ticket gives you access to the live, online lesson, the recipes, and shopping list.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Taco Starter Kit include a complete meal?
No, the Taco Starter Kit is not a complete meal kit but rather a selection of house-made food items used in our recipes. In your event materials, you will receive full recipes and purchase the remaining fresh ingredients yourself.
Will there be modifications for dietary restrictions?
Yes! Chef Brett has tons of great ideas on how people can adapt these recipes for many dietary needs. If you are a vegetarian, for example, you can replace fish or chicken with jackfruit.
Can the Taco Starter Kit be shipped out of state?
Yes! We are excited to share items from the Project Angel Heart Denver kitchen with friends near and far. For an additional $13 fee per box, Taco Starter Kits can ship to any address in the continental US. We will begin shipping on August 3 to allow ample time for delivery.
