Please note that we ask for a minimum commitment of six months from our program volunteers. Special events are a great way to get involved if your schedule is not consistent!
Volunteer Position Descriptions
Volunteers in the Bread & Butter Club Kitchen chop, slice, bag, scoop, stir, blend, bake, and—of course—scrub! Kitchen assistant shifts are only available in Denver. Ages 18 and up.

Tuesday: 8am-12pm, 1-4pm, 5-8pm
Wednesday: 8am-12pm, 5-8pm
Thursday: 8am-12pm, 2-5pm, 5-8pm
Friday: 8am-12pm, 1-4pm
Delivery drivers pick up meal bags, either at Project Angel Heart or from one of several satellite locations across Denver or Colorado Springs, and deliver them to neighbors who need nutritious meals. This is a great family opportunity. All ages welcome, but children must be accompanied by an adult.

Satellite shuttle drivers pack up meals in their own vehicle and deliver them to a designated satellite location. From here, volunteer meal delivery drivers take bags to individual clients. Ages 18 and up.

|Colorado Springs Shift(s)||Saturday: 9-10am|
Satellite coordinators manage meal delivery from the satellite distribution center, including unloading satellite shuttle vehicle, sorting meal bags, and assisting delivery drivers in collecting meal bags for delivery. If needed, coordinators also act as meal delivery drivers. Ages 18 and up. All Denver positions currently filled.

Distribution assistants solve Project Angel Heart’s meal puzzle when they pack and organize meal bags. This position is essential in getting the right meal in the right bag and to the right client. An eye for detail is a must for this job. Ages 18 and up.

Saturday: 8:30-11am, 10:30am-1:30pm

Office assistants provide essential support to Project Angel Heart by serving as the friendly face of the agency for guests and callers. Office assistants greet guests, help route calls, assist with administrative projects, and more! Ages 18 and up.

Garden assistants work with our lead gardener to help with weeding, harvesting, and washing produce grown in the Project Angel Heart garden to get it ready for cooking. Positions are available at our Denver location during the growing season.

Volunteers are needed to help staff tables at events, attend fairs, and present giving campaign opportunities as the agency representative. Full training is provided and scheduling is as needed. For more information contact email@example.com.
Help bring cheer to our clients by decorating meal delivery bags! Meal bags are picked up at our office and decorated offsite at your location. This is a great way to introduce volunteers of all ages and abilities to the service provided by Project Angel Heart and have a positive impact on the lives of our clients. All ages may participate. Read our bag decoration guidelines for instructions.
