Court-Ordered Community Service
Project Angel Heart welcomes volunteers with court-mandated community service hours who are 18 years of age or over. Our intake process, which must be completed before volunteers may start, takes up to two weeks to complete. If approved, court-mandated volunteers can expect to work one 2-3 hour shift per week.
To begin community service, volunteers must:
- Attend an in-person interview with the Volunteer Resources team, where court-related documentation will be collected and needs discussed. To schedule an interview, please call 303.830.0202 or email email@example.com.
- Complete a background check, for which there is a $19.00 fee (background check information will be provided in the interview). We cannot accept volunteers with past charges related to violence or theft. View our Background Check Policy here.
After completing the interview and background check, Project Angel Heart will evaluate each volunteer for placement. There is no guarantee of placement or hours.
If you are seeking more than 2-3 hours per week, are under the age of 18, or cannot complete the two-week intake process before beginning your service, we encourage you to explore options with other agencies. Visit Metro Volunteers’ website for more resources.
