Events provide fun, one-time volunteer opportunities for those who’d like to help, but can’t commit to an ongoing volunteer role. Here are of the few ways you can make a difference with a minimal commitment.
Mark your calendar and dine out with us for breakfast, lunch, or dinner on the last Thursday in April of each year. More than 250 restaurants and breweries in the Denver/Boulder area will donate 25 percent of sales to Project Angel Heart on this day. Volunteer positions include restaurant ambassadors, restaurant materials distributors, and more.
Each fall, A Taste for Life brings together the culinary talents of some of Denver’s best chefs for a single evening of delectable taste-testing. Guests sample gourmet appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts from Denver’s best culinary experts. The evening also features a fun silent auction, and unique opportunities to mix and mingle. Volunteer positions include helping set up and tear down, assisting with the auction, and more.
Community supporters sweeten the lives of those battling illness during the Thanksgiving holiday by purchasing holiday pies through Project Angel Heart’s annual Pie in the Sky fundraiser. Delicious flavors include apple, cherry, pecan, and pumpkin, and are all freshly baked by Bluepoint Bakery in Denver. Pies are sold online for $25 each. Volunteer positions include becoming a pie seller, forming a pie selling team, and helping distribute pies on distribution day.
Volunteers also help with third-party events, events that benefit Project Angel Heart but are hosted or sponsored by another individual or organization. These events happen throughout the year.
