Group of volunteers in Project Angel Heart kitchen

Volunteer Groups

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Project Angel Heart! We enjoy working with academic, civic, community, and corporate groups who give their time to serve those coping with severe illness. Volunteer groups provide vital support in a number of ways, like packing food in our kitchen, delivering meals to clients, decorating meal bags, assisting at events, and more!

Safety Protocols during COVID-19:

  • All Project Angel Heart employees and volunteers age 12+ are required to be fully vaccinated.
  • Vaccination requirements will be in place for anyone spending 15 minutes or more participating in any Project Angel Heart program. That includes all vendors, visitors, volunteers, and guests
  • Our updated policy can be found here

For more information about group volunteer opportunities, please contact our Volunteer Resources team at volunteer@projectangelheart.org or 303.830.0202.

Any-Time Group Volunteer Projects

No application required, schedule any time

Need to schedule something right away? Prefer to do it at your own location? We have one volunteer opportunity that you can schedule and complete on your own, at any time (no application necessary):

Decorate Meal Bags For Clients

We are now checking out and accepting decorated meal bags! We offer a no-contact bag pickup and drop-off process at our office in Denver and Colorado Springs. Help bring cheer to our clients by decorating meal delivery bags! Meal bags are picked up at our office and decorated offsite at your location. This is a great way to introduce volunteers of all ages and abilities to the service provided by Project Angel Heart and have a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

Read our specific instructions for picking up and dropping off meal bags in Colorado Springs.

Questions about bag decoration? Read our bag decoration guidelines for instructions. Want to chat further? In the Denver metro area, contact Alexandra at adougherty@projectangelheart.org or 303.830.0202. In Colorado Springs, call 719.323.0084 or 800.381.5612.

Fill the meal bags you decorate with nourishing meals! Each gift of $60 fills a meal bag for one Coloradan facing a severe health condition. And thanks to our friends at Seattle Fish Co., your gift will be MATCHED, dollar-for-dollar! This is a great way to double your impact for Coloradans in need of nourishing, medically tailored meals. Make your gift today.

Sponsor a Meal

Your company can support neighbors coping with illness by giving the gift of food. And, sponsoring a meal while volunteering with your group is a great way to boost employee engagement while giving back. A day’s worth of meals can be sponsored for $1,000 and, when part of a volunteer opportunity in 2022, your sponsorship will be MATCHED by Seattle Fish Company. You can also elect to sponsor meal enhancements through an additional $500 donation.

To coordinate a corporate or individual meal sponsorship, contact Caleigh Isaacks at 303.407.9447 or cisaacks@projectangelheart.org.
