Do you accept court-ordered community service volunteers?

Project Angel Heart does have a limited number of positions available for someone seeking court-ordered community service in the Denver area.

  • Ages 18+ only
  • Opportunities are only available in Denver at this time.
  • Volunteers can expect to work one 2-4 hour shift per week.
  • Volunteers must complete a background check, for which there is a $19.85 fee (information will be provided in the interview). We cannot accept volunteers with charges related to violence or theft.
  • Volunteers must schedule an in-person interview.
  • Bag decoration is not eligible for community service hours.

To sign up for community service, please email us at volunteer@projectangelheart.org. A member of the volunteer resources team will contact you within five business days to set up an in-person interview, after which shifts will be scheduled based on availability.

How old do you have to be to volunteer in the kitchen?

Volunteers are required to be a minimum of 16 years old to volunteer in our kitchen with the exception of chopping shifts; volunteers are required to be 18+ years. We do offer other options for students and families. Visit our individual/families page to learn more.

How do I get my group, including workplace or corporate, involved with Project Angel Heart?

We offer a variety of opportunities for all types of social and corporate groups. Please be aware that we schedule groups in our Denver kitchen up to a year in advance, so please plan ahead if you would like to volunteer in the kitchen. Other group opportunities are available year-round and can be completed at your own location. Visit our group volunteers page to learn more.

My school requires me to do volunteer work. What can I do to complete my hours?
