Remembering Chef Brandon

It is with extraordinary sadness that we learned this week of the death of our friend and executive chef, Brandon Foster.

Chef Brandon was a thoughtful and caring leader at Project Angel Heart in so many ways, both in and out of the kitchen. He was a beloved presence in the culinary community, a dear friend, and an exceptional human being. He was inspiring, generous, and connected deeply with so many.

If a life can be measured by the number of lives it inspired, touched, and impacted, Chef Brandon sits at the top of the list. Those of us lucky enough to know him experienced how he could light up a room and bring humor and joy to the darkest moments. He cared passionately about the mission of Project Angel Heart and spent much of his free time advocating for better food policy. His gifts were endless.

We ask that in support of Chef Brandon, you consider supporting his beloved family – his wife Larissa and three children Amelia, Ella, and Harrison – through the GoFundMe page that can be found here.

Our family at Project Angel Heart shares the profound sadness felt by his family, friends, loved ones, and the countless lives he touched. We can’t possibly realize yet how much we’ll miss him, but we know we are better for the time we had with him.
