Do you accept court-ordered community service volunteers?

Project Angel Heart does have a limited number of positions available for someone seeking court-ordered community service in the Denver area and must schedule an in person interview. Click on the button below for more information.

What is the time commitment for volunteers?

We ask for a minimum three-month commitment from program volunteers and offer flexible scheduling. We also offer one-time event volunteer opportunities.

How old do you have to be to volunteer in the kitchen?

Volunteers are required to be a minimum of 16 years old to volunteer in our kitchen with the exception of chopping shifts; volunteers are required to be 18+ years. We do offer other options for students and families.

How do I get my group involved with Project Angel Heart?

We offer a variety of opportunities for all types of social and corporate groups. Please be aware that we schedule groups in our Denver kitchen up to a year in advance, so please plan ahead if you would like to volunteer in the kitchen. Other group opportunities are available year-round and can be completed at your own location. Please visit our group volunteer page to learn more.

My school requires me to do volunteer work. What can I do to complete my hours?

Volunteers under age 18 who are looking for school-based volunteer hours can help decorate bags for our clients or deliver meals with an adult driver.

I scheduled an orientation session but need to change my date. What should I do?

Check the schedule for a volunteer orientation session that works for you, then email us at volunteer@projectangelheart.org and let us know which session you will be able to attend.
