TJ Baugus: Volunteer of the Month

Project Angel Heart is thrilled to recognize TJ Baugus as our Volunteer of the Month for January. TJ was nominated by our volunteer resources team. Here’s what they had to say about her:

TJ has been volunteering with Project Angel Heart since March 2023. She is a dedicated Saturday distribution assistant, giving her time every week in Colorado Springs to help prepare for our largest delivery day. TJ is always on time—often arriving before any other volunteers to get everything ready for the shift. She also takes the lead in welcoming new distribution volunteers and providing quick on-site orientations to set them up for success.

When TJ isn’t helping with Saturday distribution, you can find her filling in the gaps as a shuttle driver or meal delivery driver. She’s also always willing to lend a hand at community outreach events in Colorado Springs.

TJ is our go-to volunteer when we need extra drivers during the week or in other regions, like Pueblo. She’s the first to offer her time, often rearranging her schedule to ensure meals are delivered to clients in need—no matter the circumstances. Whether it’s snow, hail, rain, or the blazing summer sun, TJ always shows up.

It’s always a pleasure to have TJ around, and her dedication and positivity brighten every shift. Congratulations, TJ! We’re so grateful to have you as part of our community!
