Exciting Updates: New CEO Search, Record Milestones, and More

Dear Friends,

I hope your New Year is off to a great start! As we reflect on 2024, we are filled with gratitude for all we have accomplished together. Thanks to your unwavering support, we made significant strides in delivering hope, nutrition, and healing to our neighbors experiencing severe illness. Here are some highlights we’re proud to share:

Expanding Our Reach: We began a pilot program to extend our services to neighbors in Loveland, Greeley, and Fort Collins, ensuring more severely ill neighbors to the north have access to the life-changing benefits of medically tailored meals.

Championing Food is Medicine: We co-hosted with longtime partner Kaiser Permanente the second annual Colorado Food is Medicine Summit, bringing together thought leaders to highlight the transformative power of Food is Medicine and working together to ensure all Coloradans have access to high-quality nutrition.

Thanksgiving Milestone: This past Thanksgiving, we had our largest delivery day ever! With you—400 dedicated volunteers—we delivered 15,000 meals across 2,450 square miles, spreading joy and nourishment to so many.

Unprecedented Impact: In total, we prepared and delivered more than 755,000 medically tailored meals in 2024. This achievement would not have been possible without your generosity and commitment to our mission.

And we’re not slowing down. Looking ahead, we’re preparing to deliver 815,000 meals to 5,200 neighbors across our state in 2025. This ambitious goal reflects our determination to meet the growing need for our services.

Additionally, we’re excited to share that the search for our new President and CEO is officially underway. Aspen Leadership Group, the firm leading the search, has released the position prospectus, and is actively screening candidates, with the goal of holding interviews in late March and early April. Please continue to share with your networks to help us find our next talented leader!

And mark your calendars! Our next event is the 31st Annual Dining Out For Life—can you believe it?! Join us on Thursday, April 24, and make plans to dine out to support Project Angel Heart and local restaurants. We’re currently recruiting restaurant partners who, along with all of you, have made this event a Colorado tradition for more than three decades. I’ll look forward to seeing you out and about then, if not before.

In the meantime, our commitment remains strong, and none of this would be possible without your partnership. Thank you for being a vital part of the Project Angel Heart family. Here’s to another incredible year of delivering hope and health together.

With gratitude,

Rich Martinez
Interim CEO,
Chief Financial Officer
