Michael Vocatura: Volunteer of the Month

Project Angel Heart is thrilled to recognize Michael Vocatura as our Volunteer of the Month for March. Michael was nominated by our volunteer resources team. Here’s what they had to say about him:

Michael started as a dedicated kitchen volunteer, coming in weekly on Thursdays to assist with our chicken shift, then deepened his commitment by joining us to volunteer for most of our special events that we host annually.  

After COVID, that chicken shift dwindled, but Michael’s commitment didn’t; he transitioned to the office assistant role, where he currently shines at the front desk weekly on Tuesday mornings. He also continued to support our annual events such as Dining Out For Life and A Taste for Life.  

Staff and volunteers alike recognize Michael’s bright and welcoming personality, along with his ability to effortlessly manage the front desk and keep things running smoothly on Tuesday mornings.

Thank you, Michael, for being the cheerful and smiling face that represents Project Angel Heart at the front desk and at events. We are very grateful to have you as part of our community.
