Marilyn McCallan: Volunteer of the Month

Project Angel Heart is thrilled to recognize Marilyn McCallan as our October Volunteer of the Month!

Marilyn began volunteering with Project Angel Heart in October 2021 as a kitchen assistant. Since then, she has dedicated her Thursday mornings to helping dish up meals in our kitchen.

Marilyn quickly found her people among the Thursday morning kitchen crew, and they’ve been inseparable ever since! With her bright smile and shining personality, she brings joy to the staff and volunteers who work alongside her.

Her fellow volunteers are quick to praise her positive attitude and the joy she brings to every shift. As one volunteer shared, “Marilyn is simply a gem! She comes in smiling and gets to work. She sees what needs to be done and does it willingly. Marilyn is a key part of what makes our Thursday morning crew so special!”

Marilyn has also stepped up numerous times when we’ve needed extra help at our Arvada satellite location on Saturdays, generously offering her time to deliver meals to clients. We’re always grateful to hear her say our favorite words: “I can take a route this week!”

Thank you, Marilyn, for going above and beyond, serving in multiple ways and bringing your wonderful energy to everything you do. We’re lucky to have you as part of the Project Angel Heart community!

Congratulations, Marilyn!
