Lauren Leaming: Volunteer of the Month

Project Angel Heart is thrilled to recognize Lauren Leaming as our Volunteer of the Month for April. Lauren was nominated by our volunteer resources team.

Lauren started with Project Angel Heart in February 2025 in Colorado Springs, assisting as a weekly Saturday distribution assistant.

Lauren has contributed to the preparation and delivery of thousands of medically tailored meals across the Colorado Springs area, all while maintaining outstanding academic achievement as a high school senior. She has also taken on the role of community outreach liaison for our Colorado Springs meal bag decorating program. Additionally, Lauren demonstrates strong leadership as a distribution table captain, leading distribution volunteers, helping with training, and troubleshooting issues that may arise during Colorado Springs meal distribution operations.

Lauren’s ability to balance academic excellence with meaningful community service speaks volumes about her character, work ethic, and compassion for others. Her contributions have strengthened our programs and positively impacted both our clients and fellow volunteers.
