Welcome, Isaiah! Tell us a little bit about your background.

During my teenage years, I dedicated a lot of my time to volunteering at the local hospital, which eventually led to me becoming the volunteer coordinator there. After gaining experience working with volunteers, I decided to pursue a Certified Addictions Counselor license, where I worked with individuals battling varying degrees of drug addiction. Following a few years in the banking industry, I felt the pull to return to my roots and sought out an organization that I could truly be passionate about. That’s when I found Project Angel Heart.

What are you looking forward to with your new role at Project Angel Heart?

I’m looking forward to helping the community and assisting in any way I can to expand this amazing organization further for those who need help but don’t have the resources. I believe organizations like Project Angel Heart play a vital role in our community.

What do you like most about working in volunteer resources?

My favorite aspect of my career so far has been working with volunteers. There is something special about working with people who selflessly dedicate their personal time and energy to help make others’ lives easier.

What’s your favorite meal?

I would have to say that my favorite meal is my grandfather’s homemade lasagna. He cooked it for me every year on my birthday, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget how it tastes.

If you had 24 hours to do whatever you wanted, what would you do?

I would probably spend it going camping with my family. We have gone camping almost every summer since I was little, and it’s something I look forward to every year.

What is something unique that you would like volunteers to know about you?

Something unique about me is that I love collecting things. I have various collections ranging from video games to vinyl records and local art.
