Kamisha Jones works with volunteer groups and volunteers completing community service in the Denver office.
Where are you from? How long have you lived in Colorado?
I was born in Aurora, Colorado, but grew up in Oceanside, California, from 2003 until I graduated high school. I moved back to Denver in 2014 to be closer to family.
What brought you to Project Angel Heart?
My previous occupation was business to business marketing. I had come to Project Angel Heart’s building to market, not knowing I would be returning a few months later to stay!
What’s your favorite thing to do in or around Denver?
My favorite thing is eating, so I love trying new restaurants and exploring different cuisines.
If the world were ending tomorrow, what would you eat for your last meal?
I would go to a buffet! But if I had to choose one thing… I would probably load up a big burrito with lots of different items.
What’s been your favorite thing about Project Angel Heart so far? What are you looking forward to?
The environment and its energy. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, like nothing I’ve seen before. I look forward to getting to know the staff and volunteers whilst getting more solidified in my position.
