Meet Meghan Perkins, Project Angel Heart’s New Registered Dietitian

Hello! My name is Meghan Perkins, and I am the new registered dietitian at Project Angel Heart. I began my college career with a semester at Johnson and Wales learning the ropes in the kitchen, but quickly found my passion for nutrition and transferred to the University of Northern Colorado to earn my degree in dietetics. After completing my clinical internship at the University of Arizona Medical Center, I began working as a private practice dietitian in Phoenix, Arizona, where I conducted one-on-one nutrition education. The majority of my patients were living with chronic kidney disease, diabetes, cancer, and/or heart disease. I also provided services to clients for bariatric surgery, celiac disease, food allergies, and general health/wellness counseling.

I am incredibly honored and very excited to be a part of such a wonderful team at Project Angel Heart. My goal is to work closely with our outstanding culinary crew to ensure our medically tailored meals continue to be nutritious and, of course, delicious! I will be reaching out to my fellow dietitians and medical experts for your advice and feedback along the way, so thank you in advance!
