Local health care organization DispatchHealth, which provides mobile, on-demand urgent care, recently partnered with Project Angel Heart to make a big impact on Coloradans living with critical illness.
After receiving a large honorarium, the organization knew just what to do with it: give back to neighbors in need.
They worked with Project Angel Heart to sponsor two signature events: gourmet tasting event A Taste for Life and Pie in the Sky, a Thanksgiving pie sale. The events raise over $150,000 for Project Angel Heart, allowing the organization to prepare and deliver meals to thousands of ailing Coloradans.
DispatchHealth also sponsored three meals for Project Angel Heart clients in 2016 (see photo at right).
Lastly, to get employees involved, the DispatchHealth team lent a hand in the Project Angel Heart kitchen, spending an afternoon perfecting their assembly line skills as they packaged hundreds of fruit and milk bags for delivery to Project Angel Heart clients. (They even brought their own kitchen gear- check out that Star Trek apron and branded toque!)
