Nick Capozzola: Volunteer of the Month

December 2023 Volunteer of the Month

Project Angel Heart is thrilled to recognize Nick Capozzola as our Volunteer of the Month for December. Nick was nominated by Isaiah Urioste, our Pueblo volunteer and distribution coordinator. Here’s what Isaiah had to say about Nick:

Nick has demonstrated exceptional service to Project Angel Heart and the Pueblo community. He has volunteered every single Saturday as a distribution assistant and meal delivery driver since he started in October 2022. Notably punctual and dependable, Nick has never missed a day or called off.

A teacher and musician who loves working on his house and yard, Nick still manages to carve out time each week to give back. He is extremely quick and diligent, and usually completes distribution tasks in half the allotted time. Beyond his assigned duties, Nick generously assists with loading racks into other drivers’ vehicles before setting off on his own route.

One of his peers praised him, saying, “Nick is such a great person and very pleasant to work with. He is extremely dependable – I do not know if he has ever missed a single Saturday! He is good at problem solving when the unexpected occurs, and he is so loyal to Project Angel Heart.”

We are immensely grateful for Nick’s unwavering dedication to our mission and feel fortunate to have him as a part of the Project Angel Heart family!
