Project Angel Heart Earns Charity Navigator’s 4-Star Rating

DENVER–JUNE 5, 2017– Project Angel Heart’s strong financial health and commitment to accountability and transparency have earned it a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. This is the ninth time that Project Angel Heart has earned this top distinction in the last 11 years.

Charity Navigator uses objective analysis to award only the most fiscally responsible organizations a 4-star rating. Robust Accountability & Transparency metrics focus on governance, ethical practices, and openness to donors and stakeholders to determine each charity’s financial health.

According to Michael Thatcher, President & CEO of Charity Navigator, “Project Angel Heart’s exceptional 4-star rating sets it apart from its peers and demonstrates its trustworthiness to the public. Only a quarter of charities rated by Charity Navigator receive the distinction of our 4-star rating. This adds Project Angel Heart to a preeminent group of charities working to overcome our world’s most pressing challenges. Based on its 4-star rating, people can trust that their donations are going to a financially responsible and ethical charity when they decide to support Project Angel Heart.”

“It’s important that our donors trust we’re using their donations wisely to provide medically tailored meals to neighbors living with life-threatening illness,” said Erin Pulling, President and CEO of Project Angel Heart. “Our 4-star rating demonstrates to our supporters that we take financial accountability and openness very seriously.”
