Where are you from? How long have you lived in Colorado?
I am from Montana and I have lived in Colorado for eight and a half years.

What brought you to Project Angel Heart?
I was looking to work with an organization that truly makes a difference in the community and that aligns with my interest in health and wellness. Project Angel Heart meets the criteria perfectly!

What’s your favorite thing to do in Denver?
I love checking out festivals that feature local food, drinks, art, and music. Denver has so much to offer so it’s fun to explore.

French toast. With lots of syrup.

What’s been your favorite thing about Project Angel Heart so far? What are you looking forward to?
My favorite thing so far has been getting to know the staff and volunteers and hearing their stories of how they made their way to Project Angel Heart. I am looking forward to settling in and becoming effective in my position so I can be a part of this amazing mission.

Where are you from? How long have you lived in Colorado?
I was born in Ukraine. I have called Colorado my home for the last five years.

What brought you to Project Angel Heart?
I learned about the work of Project Angel Heart at a bag decorating party. As I was filling the brown canvas, I was also learning about the need for tailored meals specific to the medical needs of people in our community, the area of service and the uniqueness of the type of service Project Angel Heart provides.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Colorado Springs?
I love exploring brunch places!

If the world were ending tomorrow, what would you eat for your last meal?
Borsch, the beet soup, of course– the traditional Ukrainian fare.

What’s been your favorite thing about Project Angel Heart so far? What are you looking forward to?
The amazing volunteers make this service possible. It is wonderful to see how the opportunities to volunteer at Project Angel Heart include anyone– from a child to an adult, at any level of time availability– whether to help drive the meals to the door, decorate the bags, or help at the office or the kitchen.

Where are you from? How long have you lived in Colorado?
A citizen of ol’ blighty, I was born and raised in the Greater Manchester Area. After some travels in Canada and East Africa, I immigrated to the U.S. and Colorado about 2 years ago.

What brought you to Project Angel Heart?
Project Angel Heart initially piqued my interested after hearing wonderful things from a friend of a friend. After researching the organization, its history, and impact in the community; I jumped at the opportunity to be part of a clearly great organization.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Denver?
As a true sub-urbanite living in Lakewood, I actually don’t find myself in Denver proper often. However hiking Green Mountain is my go to evening activity. I really enjoy biking too and canoeing on Chatfield Reservoir.

If the world were ending tomorrow, what would you eat for your last meal?
Well, if the world were literally ending tomorrow I wouldn’t have a last meal, I’d have six, or maybe eight. I’d probably want a delicious curry with a big, soft, buttery naan bread. And wash it down with some form of pie, perhaps cherry or Dutch apple, or a rich, dark chocolate torte.

What’s been your favorite thing about Project Angel Heart so far? What are you looking forward to?
My favorite thing, as the Client Services Assistant, has been hearing from our clients first hand. Not a day goes by that a client will express their thanks for the impact we’re making in their lives. I’m most looking forward to our Pie in the Sky event later in the year… what’s better than a really great excuse to buy excessive amounts of delicious pie!?

Where are you from? How long have you lived in Colorado?
I’m originally from a West suburb of Chicago, Glen Ellyn. I’ve lived in Colorado off and on since 2011.

What brought you to Project Angel Heart?
I use to work with the Chef Brandon for a previous employer. I inquired about any available positions in the kitchen and quickly jumped on board. I’ve found that working with him is a bonus to what the real reason I think we all are here. And that is for the greater good.

What’s your favorite thing to do in Denver?
Go for a nice bike ride with friends, have a picnic in Cheesman or Wash Park, lay in a hammock and throw a frisbee or fly a kite. Almost always with my dog. I like to eat out too.

If the world were ending tomorrow, what would you eat for your last meal?
Julie Joyce’s (Mom) shrimp scampi, artichoke hearts dipped in melted butter, baguette, garden salad, s’mores for dessert, and a PBR. A Midwest favorite. Maybe some ribs too, just to keep things messy.

What’s been your favorite thing about Project Angel Heart so far? What are you looking forward to?
The culture that is built upon its staff and volunteers. Looking forward to positive growth, more sustainable food sources, and building on an already stellar Project Angel Heart community!
