Friends,
I’m excited to share that we have hired a CFO. Please join me in welcoming Rich Martinez to our team.
Rich joins Project Angel Heart at an exciting time of historic growth. As we continue to strive toward our vision that all Coloradans living with severe illness have access to nutritious food that supports their health and well-being, Rich’s expertise and community-minded approach will be key.
Some of you may already know Rich. With a distinguished career spanning more than two decades, he’s familiar to many in Colorado. Rich is the former CEO of Young Americans Bank and Young Americans Center for Financial Education. During his nearly 24-year tenure, he held several roles, including vice president/audit and senior vice president/chief financial officer. Prior to Young Americans, Rich was a bank examiner at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Denver Branch.
Equally important to us, Rich has a passion for making a positive impact in the community, and has served on numerous boards throughout his career. He currently serves as the treasurer of the Colorado Nonprofit Development Center and was recently appointed to the board of the Foundation for Colorado Community Colleges. Previously, he was also appointed by two governors to serve on the Colorado State Banking Board.
Rich joins us September 1. If you’re in the Denver office and kitchen or attending an upcoming event, don’t hesitate to stop and introduce yourself. I know Rich’s looking forward to meeting everyone who has made Project Angel Heart the effective and beloved organization it is, and the one where he’s chosen to dedicate his talents.
