Stephen Kascht: Volunteer of the Month

Project Angel Heart is thrilled to recognize Stephen “Steve” Kascht as our Volunteer of the Month for October. Steve was nominated by our volunteer resources team. Here’s what they had to say about him:

Steve joined Project Angel Heart in March 2023 and has since been a reliable, welcoming, and helpful volunteer.

Each week, Steve assists with meal delivery and often steps in as a satellite site coordinator when we’re in a pinch. His willingness to jump in and help—whether that means taking on another role or a longer route—has made a tremendous difference, and he does it all without hesitation whenever he has the capacity.

Here’s what his fellow volunteers had to say about him:

“Steve is a tremendous asset to our Queen of Peace delivery group. He goes above and beyond to unload shuttles, help drivers carry their bags to their vehicles, and make sure everyone else is squared away and ready to go before he loads up his own truck. He is organized, hands-on, and in tune with the whole group. And he does it all with good humor, consideration, and sincerity. When he’s coordinating, he makes sure every route and every driver is ‘ready to roll’ before leaving. Steve is a very compassionate individual and truly has a huge heart for our clients and the reason we deliver week in and week out. Rain or shine, he’s an amazing volunteer, and we all appreciate him!”
