Susan Barnas: Volunteer of the Month

Congratulations to Susan Barnas, a volunteer meal delivery driver in Colorado Springs! Here’s what Tiana Clark, volunteer resources coordinator, had to say about Susan:

I would like to nominate Susan Barnas for Volunteer of the Month. She started volunteering with Project Angel Heart in 2018 as a lead group coordinator for Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU). This has been such a dependable relationship and Susan is always on top of managing details for a successful group drive.

In addition to being one of our CSU coordinators, Susan and her family also volunteer on their own a few times a month. She will deliver to any area of town and is always willing to take a larger route. Susan can be called in a pinch to deliver a second route, as well, and always does so with a smile! Recently she volunteered to be our “go to” driver for a client who resides quite a ways from our normal delivery area.

Susan’s reliability, warm demeanor, and flexibility is much appreciated and valued!
