Volunteer of the Month: October 2018

Congratulations to Jeff Alexander, Colorado Springs community outreach team member, distribution assistant, and volunteer of the month for October 2018! Jeff was nominated by Sally Rothstein, Project Angel Heart’s Colorado Springs regional manager, and Amy Siebert, the Colorado Springs distribution and volunteer assistant. They said:

“Jeff has been working with the Colorado Springs Project Angel Heart team since May 2017, and has become an invaluable part of our mission efforts. He regularly works the Saturday morning distribution shift, including being our go-to pallet mover, helping us to clear and prepare the distribution space at Care & Share.

Often, Jeff will take a meal delivery route on top of his distribution shifts, working double duty to bring our clients their meals. Jeff can be counted on in a pinch to cover driving shifts, distribution shifts, and even to provide his trained medic skills as needed! Jeff is cool, calm, collected, and driven by our mission during each of our Saturday distribution shifts, making sure to pay attention to the many details involved.

Jeff is also furthering Project Angel Heart’s work in Colorado Springs by joining the community outreach team. We are so grateful for everything that Jeff brings to Project Angel Heart each week!”
