Volunteer of the Month, December 2016

Congratulations to Mike Bielkiewicz, shuttle driver in Denver and our Volunteer of the Month for December 2016! Mike was nominated by Kathleen “Zog” Heymans, volunteer kitchen assistant and satellite coordinator.

Zog said: “Mike has been a shuttle driver for several years, despite his packed professional schedule and busy family life. He is upbeat and flexible, willing to shuttle to my satellite and other satellites. He is always on time. In fact, usually a little early. Well, actually he delights in getting to the satellite before I do. Mike stays until the last delivery driver has left, helping with meal enhancements, taking bags to drivers cars, etc. He has even filled in for me as a satellite coordinator. Sometimes his sons accompany him and they are always well-behaved and helpful.”

As Volunteer of the Month, Mike, along with other Volunteers of the Month and those who nominated them, will enjoy a dinner prepared by Project Angel Heart’s chefs.
