Angela Hamilton has seen the impact that Project Angel Heart has in the lives of people who are seriously ill and their families. Before passing away, her mother was a Project Angel Heart meal recipient. Today, as a pie seller, Angela’s giving back and helping others fighting cancer, HIV/AIDS, and other life-threatening illnesses.
“I didn’t believe it was true when the doctors told us of [my mother’s] diagnosis,” said Angela, “nor that they’d referred her to become a recipient of Project Angel Heart meals. Project Angel Heart really makes a difference in families’ lives and I’m honored to be able to contribute back to keep it going.”
Angela, a first-time pie seller, decided she could have a bigger impact by getting her employer and coworkers involved, so she created a Marsh Denver team. “I’ve been blessed to be a part of a very giving organization,” said Angela, “and we’re all having so much fun with the awesome incentives, including a chance to throw a pie in the face of company leaders, pie contests, and more.”
After launching her company’s pie team, Angela was surprised to learn how many others in her company have also been impacted by Project Angel Heart. And that shared experience and knowledge has led to big success on the pie front. So far, the Marsh Denver team has sold more than 65 pies! Click here to visit their page.
During the month of November, we’ll recognize a Stellar Pie Seller each week. A Stellar Pie Seller is someone who has sold at least 8 pies, has a unique or creative method of selling pies, or simply has an inspiring story! If you or someone you know is a Stellar Pie Seller, let us know!
