Volunteer of the Month, November 2015

Congratulations to Rick Hasbrouck, volunteer dishwasher at Project Angel Heart and our Volunteer of the Month for November. Rick was nominated by Chef Jon Emanuel, executive chef.

“Rick comes in several times per week to help out in the dish pit for hours at a time, and he always stays until the job is done (sometimes until 3:00 or 4:00 in the afternoon),” said Chef Jon. “He does an amazing job at one of the grungiest positions in the kitchen; often having to deal with the dish machine malfunctioning, or someone calling out sick, or just a whole lotta pots and pans. He does this without complaint—in fact usually with a smile on his face and a spring in his step.”

“Oh, and did I mention that he does this after riding his bicycle from Golden???”

“Rick’s an amazing help, volunteer, and guy,” Chef Jon said. “He deserves to be Volunteer of the Month!”

As Volunteer of the Month, Rick, along with other Volunteers of the Month and those who nominated them, will enjoy a dinner prepared by Project Angel Heart’s chefs.
