Thanksgiving Feast Sponsor Kirkpatrick Bank Providing Meals, Pies for Many This Holiday

On behalf of their clients and friends, Kirkpatrick Bank decided to “pie it forward” for the third year in a row by supporting Project Angel Heart’s Pie in the Sky.

As the event’s Thanksgiving Feast Sponsor, they funded more than 300 nourishing meals for Coloradans in need. Meals that bring comfort, hope, and improved health for Denver and Colorado Springs neighbors facing cancer, heart disease, HIV/AIDS, and other serious illnesses.

They’re also helping make sure Pie in the Sky is a waste-free event, giving leftover pies a second life!

Every year, there are a handful of people who are unable to pick up the Pie in the Sky pies they ordered. Thanks to Kirkpatrick Bank, those pies will still be enjoyed. Leftover pies will be picked up at Project Angel Heart and redistributed by We Don’t Waste, a local food recovery organization, to food banks and hunger relief organizations.

“It’s pretty amazing that Kirkpatrick Bank is thinking about how they can go even further with their support of Pie in the Sky,” said Brandon Foster, Project Angel Heart’s executive chef.

“Not only are they directly supporting our mission by helping provide medically tailored meals for our clients, they’re also making sure that other people in need in our community get to enjoy a special treat. Their generosity will make this holiday season special for so many.”

The sponsorship has been meaningful for Kirkpatrick Bank, as well.

“This partnership has been so rewarding for us in so many ways,” said Doris Rigoni, Denver market president. “It creates the kind of community engagement that makes a difference. We thank Project Angel Heart for all they do!”
