Volunteer of the Month: March 2019

Congratulations to Michael Sykes, kitchen assistant and volunteer of the month for March 2019! Michael was nominated by fellow volunteer Dee Frembgen, who said:

“I would like to nominate Michael Sykes for volunteer of the month. Michael has been a volunteer for Project Angel Heart since August of 2011 and works on the Thursday morning kitchen crew. Michael is consistently here on time, often riding his bike to his volunteer assignment. When Michael arrives, he welcomes everyone with a smile, bringing a lot of heart to our volunteer group! Michael helps in all areas of our task load for the day, and Michael is always available to guide new volunteers through their shift so they have a positive experience. In addition to all that, Michael keeps the gang laughing with his humor and wit. We are so glad to have Michael on our shift and think he is deserving of the volunteer of the month award.”

As volunteer of the month, Michael will enjoy a special dinner prepared by Project Angel Heart’s chefs.
