Volunteer of the Month, April 2017

Congratulations to Bill Johnson, Denver kitchen assistant and Volunteer of the Month for April 2017! Bill was nominated by his fellow volunteers on the Tuesday morning kitchen shift, who said:

“Bill has been a faithful volunteer since 2001. Words our crew uses to describe him are: faithful, loyal, affable, good humor, funny, interested in everyone, open, joyful, positive, and witty. He is so motivational and inspirational for all of us. He’s an amazing role model on how to remain a contributing member of the community, keeping his brain and body active!”

“Bill has always been an A+ volunteer. Snow or shine you can count on him. He exemplifies what a Project Angel Heart volunteer is.”

“Bill is amazing- he is almost 20 years older than me, but is still hard to keep up with.”

“A true inspiration! We love Bill.”

“Bill is the first person here every Tuesday, works nonstop and has been the foreman of this crew for years.”

“Bill is such an inspiration- he never misses and is usually the first person here. Such a caring man- I enjoy spending time with him each week.”

“Bill is an inspiration when I’m feeling down, he makes me feel better.”

“Bill, oh Bill, oh Bill. What a wonderful man. Teaches me every day we work together.”
