Volunteer of the Month, January 2016

Congratulations to Dorothy Stenman, kitchen assistant at Project Angel Heart and our Volunteer of the Month for January. Dorothy was nominated by Teresa Toomey, a fellow volunteer.

“Dorothy has been a tireless, dedicated volunteer for at least the last seven years.” said Teresa. (Note: We double checked, and Dorothy’s been here for ten years!) “Dorothy is always in a good mood, she deeply cares about the clients Project Angel Heart serves, and she always has a kind word for all of us that volunteer with her. Although distribution is not required on Thursdays for kitchen volunteers, Dorothy often stays to pitch in. She deserves to be recognized for her stellar service!”

As Volunteer of the Month, Dorothy, along with other Volunteers of the Month and those who nominated them, will enjoy a dinner prepared by Project Angel Heart’s chefs.

Do you know a volunteer that you think should receive special recognition? Did you see someone go the extra mile? Take a few minutes and nominate them for Volunteer of the Month! You can nominate someone by filling out this form on our website, or fill out the paper nomination forms located in our staff and volunteer break room in our Denver office.
