Mike Lea: Volunteer of the Month

Project Angel Heart is thrilled to recognize Mike Lea as our Volunteer of the Month for February. Mike was nominated by our volunteer resources team. Here’s what they had to say about him:

Mike started with Project Angel Heart as a meal delivery and shuttle driver in July 2015. Since that time, Mike has taken on occasional satellite coordinator duties too, sometimes being scheduled for all three roles in one day! Not only does Mike dedicate a good portion of his Saturdays to our mission, but he also delivers meals on Mondays and Fridays each week.

Mike is reliable, jumps in when we are in a pinch, and always has a smile for staff, volunteers, and clients (however, he declined to smile for the camera for this piece. So, we kept it “all business” with a photo of meal bags instead!).

Whether it’s delivering meals directly to clients’ doors or transporting meal bags to a satellite location, we can count on Mike, rain or shine. His dedication to our clients and mission is exemplary.
