Project Angel Heart Welcomes Leaders to its 2026 Board

The Project Angel Heart Board of Directors is pleased to welcome three exceptional community leaders to the 2026 Board: Michael Banville, Ruth Jones, and Jennifer Russell. Each brings deep professional expertise and a personal connection to our mission, having experienced Project Angel Heart first as volunteers and supporters.

“Mike, Ruth, and Jenny have each seen firsthand the impact of Project Angel Heart’s work through their service and support,” said Board Chair Heather Miller. “We’re grateful they’ve chosen to deepen that commitment by joining our Board. Their skills, insight, and passion will be invaluable as we engage in strategic planning and chart Project Angel Heart’s future direction and life-changing impact.”

Michael Banville

Michael Banville, President & CEO, ALZpath 

Michael Banville is a senior executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience spanning P&L management, mergers and acquisitions, product management, and strategic planning. His career includes leading organizations across health care, higher education, sports, energy, and the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors.

Mike currently serves as president and CEO of ALZpath, a company developing a novel blood test for Alzheimer’s disease. Previously, he held several leadership roles at IHS Markit. Mike earned a BA in economics from Boston College and an MBA from Babson College.

Ruth Jones

Ruth Jones, Chief of Staff, Illegal Pete’s

Ruth Jones brings more than two decades of experience in accounting and finance, largely within Colorado-based restaurant concepts.

While working as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche, she discovered a passion for the restaurant industry and later joined Noodles & Company, where she played a key role in multiple private equity transactions and the company’s IPO. Ruth currently serves as chief of staff at Illegal Pete’s.

Ruth grew up in a small town in southwest Colorado and credits her parents and Denver cousins for inspiring her community involvement.

Jenny Russell

Jennifer Russell, Director of Institutional Data, Effectiveness, and Analytics (IDEA), University of Colorado Colorado Springs

Jennifer Russell is an accomplished data scientist with more than 25 years of experience translating complex data into actionable insights. She currently leads research and analysis of student data at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, supporting decision making across the institution, the CU System, and state and federal agencies. Her work spans enrollment, pay equity, institutional effectiveness, and more. She previously held research roles with the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Air Force.

Jenny is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education in leadership for educational equity in higher education. She holds a master’s degree in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado Boulder and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Clarkson University.
