At Project Angel Heart, good things start in a skillet. 🍳

Hearty stews. Veggie-infused macaroni and cheese. Chicken curry and garden vegetable scrambles. Food that helps nourish and strengthen people living with life-threatening illnesses like cancer and kidney disease.

All of these delicious meals start in our 40-gallon tilt skillets. But as we’ve grown, we’ve started hitting the limit of what we can do with our five trusty tilt skillets. We need to add one more skillet to the team… and we need your help to do it! Continue reading →

Grant Award Supports Research, Education

With the holiday season upon us, we’re taking some time to look back on this year and reflect on the things we’re grateful for. One of those things- a generous grant award from Telligen Community Initiative (TCI) to support research and education related to food as medicine.

TCI is an Iowa-based, private charitable foundation. They awarded Project Angel Heart with $30,000 to support our efforts to build evidence that shows the connection between medically tailored meals and reducing health care costs and utilization. Continue reading →
